In order to hunt in Romania The hunters are allowed to come in with maximum 2 firearms even if the guns are the same caliber, maximum 50 cartridges for rifle and maximum 100 cartridges for shotguns. The minimum legal caliber in Romania is 5,6 mm and every automatic gun should not have more than 3 fires. The transportation of ammunition in the main luggage is strictly forbidden.

Wild Pigeon (Columba palambus)

The Wild Pigeon is classified in several species. Its auspicious habitat is in the southern part of Romania in regions with plains, in cultivated fields along the Danube or in the Danube’s Delta. The Turtle Dove is the smallest among the dove species. It can be distinguished from the other doves because of its color: adults have white and black stripes forming a spot on their neck.
Turtle doves under 1 year old do not have this spot on their neck.
Their auspicious habitat is in the fields with bushes, clusters of trees, orchards and not very large forests close to cultivated fields.

Skylarks (Alauda arvensis)
Hunting season 15.08-15.10
The Skylark is 16 to 18 cm long. It is a bird found in the open farmland and heath, known throughout its range for the song of the male, which is delivered in hovering flight from heights of 50 to 100 m, when the singing bird may appear as just a dot in the sky from the ground. The song generally lasts from 2 to 3 minutes, but it tends to last longer later in the season. The male has broader wings than the female. This adaptation for more efficient hovering flight may have evolved because of female Skylarks’ preference for males that sing and hover for longer periods and so it demonstrates that they are likely to have good overall fitness. Romania is the only Eastern Europe country which allows skylarks hunting. Exporting the hunted game is also allowed. The hunting area is on the South plain, along the Danube River. With callbacks we can hunt a very large number of skylarks.

Fieldfares (turdus pilares)
Hunting season 1.10-28.02
The Fieldfare (Turdus pilaris) is a member of the Turdidae thrush family. Its English name, dating back from at least the eleventh century, is obscure, though it seems to derive from an Anglo-Saxon word *feldefare meaning “traveler through the fields”, probably from their constantly moving, foraging habits. It is strongly migratory, with many northern birds moving south during the winter. In Romania, from November to February there are lots of fieldfares, concentrated in the vicinity of the forests.
